Falling Back…Again!

Daylight savingsIt’s that time of year where we fall back one hour.  Daylight savings time occurs twice each year, once in the fall and once in the spring.  The falling back one hour takes place this year on November 7 (tomorrow) at 2 am.

The history and purpose behind these time changes is interesting.  As a school, we feel the impact of the time change as our students bodies and minds adjust to less sunlight, change in bedtimes and wake ups and less playtime outdoors.  One distinct advantage of the fall back…we do get an extra hour of sleep tomorrow.

Remember to change your clocks by turning them back one hour.  Another great routine to build into the falling back of time: CHANGE THE BATTERIES ON YOUR SMOKE ALARMS!
