Office News…..

And the fun continues!! Mrs. Ray’s 2nd grade class were the limo ride winners from walk a thon and last Friday they were able to get the first class treatment! They were so excited and seemed to have a great time! We were also able to play bubble soccer last Friday and had a ball!! Thanks again for all of your support and to so many volunteers it takes to pull off all of these fun events!

We  DO NOT have school on the 30th of October. Elementary students do not have school, but grades 6 – 12 DO have school!

Just a reminder as we are coming up on some holidays that there are vacation forms in the office or on the blog under forms and procedures. If you are going to be gone, please fill this out to give the office and the teacher notice ahead of time.

• School pictures have not come yet. Geskus said they should be here the first part of next week. We will get them home as soon as we can!!! Retakes are Monday, Nov. 3

PE News….

Turkey Trot race day is Thursday, Oct 27. There is late registration the day of the race. Late registration begins at 4:30  and additional shirts will be available while supplies last.

Community News….

•  Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry in Jenison Oct. 23

   On Friday October 23, 2015 GUMchurch (Georgetown United Methodist) will host a Feeding America Food Mobile Food Pantry and Community Picnic beginning at 6pm. Free food for anyone who comes to get it.

   Dinner and all pantry items are available at no charge and without any sort of “proof of need” to anyone who comes to get them. If you think some extra groceries can help you out, then we do too!

•  Community Wide Trunk or Treat Event: Free: Sat. October 24, 5-6:30 pm. Covenant Community Church 4276 Baldwin St, Hudsonville:  treats, simple games, Fire Engine & Rescue vehicles to visit,

•  We are looking to grow our 3rd grade Brownie Troop.  Girl Scouts do more than sell cookies.  We make new friendships, learn valuable skills, participate in community service projects, and most importantly have fun!

  Spooky Science

  Become a mad scientist with a STEM based program presented by Girls Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore!

  When:  Tuesday, October 27 and Wednesday, October 28

  Time:  6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

  Cost:  $20 program fee. includes 2016 membership

Community Ed News….

HEAT Swim team registration is now open here is the link for the swim team registration and info:

HEAT swimming lesson registrations are now open, with some weekday opportunities

We also will begin an adult water aerobics class on Monday October 12th at the instructional pool, patrons should park in the visitors section and check in at the main office to get into the High School

First class is free!  

Class dates are Monday and Wednesday

11am –  Water Aerobics (55 minutes) in shallow & deep water with members wearing life belts.

12 pm –  Water Exercises (55 minutes) in shallow water only.

Cost for drop-in classes:

Please pay at the pool office on day of class.

Age 60 plus: $2, 

59 & under: $4
