Blog Bits 11/6/2015

News from the office….

It has been a busy couple weeks here at school! Halloween parties went well and the kids had fun! Thank you to all the parents that helped organize and run parties!! We appreciate it so much! We are asking that if you have not completed a background check, that you please go on the blog and do so if you are coming to volunteer in any way. The form is under the forms and procedures tab at the top of the blog page.  Book fair was a huge success! Thanks to Jody Hunt for putting so much time into being the chair person for this event and to all of the many volunteers it takes to make this possible!! We had picture retakes on Tuesday so those are all done now. The last thing we had was parent teacher conferences. Thank you for coming out to support your children and meet with their teachers. Part of the success of the students comes from the encouragement they get from you so thank you! Hope everyone has been able to enjoy this BEAUTIFUL November weather and hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

PE News….

The P.E. CARES Canned or Non-Perishable food drive will begin next week. The competition will run until November 20. Have your child bring the items to their classroom when they bring them to school. The items will stay in the classroom so they can be counted. The class that brings in the highest number of non-perishable food items will win a PE CARES t-shirt and a bowling field trip to Hudsonville lanes! Thanks for your help and support in this community service project!!
