Yes. It’s True. The teachers managed to beat the 5th graders for the 8th year in a row. We played multiple teams of 5th graders (3 minutes per game) for a 45 minute period.
Each three minute period brought fresh faced, vibrant, athletic and energetic 10 and 11 year 
olds matched against a team of flush faced, barely rested, formerly athletic and good humored teachers. We managed to pull off a win…but it took some serious effort and some creativity. It helped that we had Mr. Rob as our goalie, too. Score 3 Teachers, 0 Students.
The fifth graders demonstrated great sportsmanship by not bouncing me out of the game when I spent three minutes in the goalie box trying to distract goalie, Aaron Spears.
Thank you 5th graders for taking us on….and giving us a great workout.
