Week 14: Dec 5-9, 2016

We are busy, busy, busy…learning our math facts, math concepts, literacy skills, upstanderreading, writing, spelling, social studies, and science.  In addition, we are holding many discussions about what it means to be an UPSTANDER at Georgetown.  Do we know how to work together to stand up for those who are being treated poorly — and how important it is to stand up as a team against those who use hurtful words toward others on the playground, bus, lunchroom, classroom, hallway and even away of school.

We are highlighting the characteristics of an UPSTANDER in grades K-5 and looking for ways to honor those who bravely stand together to help others.  If you want to know more about this, please read this blog post and watch the lessons we teach on this topic.

Take a peak at the week ahead to see all the big school events that will be taking place.  Remember, our HOLIDAY MUSIC PROGRAM is DECEMBER 13.  Details on this post.

Holiday Shopping is this week for all students to take advantage of!  If you want to volunteer, visit this post.

Have a great week!
