News from the Office…

It was a busy week of shopping at school! Thank you to Erin Fredricks and Audrey Straub for organizing the holiday shop! Thank you also to the so many volunteers who helped make that event possible! The kids seemed to have fun and they get so excited to bring their gifts home. We are on the countdown to Holiday break already! We have 10 SCHOOL DAYS until break. We will be off starting Dec 23 and come back to school on Jan 8. Have a good weekend!

Early Release…

Just a reminder, we have  our next Early Release on Friday, Jan. 12.  We will be dismissing at 12:15 on Jan. 12. If your child is a car rider, please be at school between 12:10 and 12:15 for pick up.  Food Service will be offering a sack lunch on early release days. Children can order a lunch with their teacher in the morning and will have them to take to their destination.  The cost will be $2.50.  Free and reduced benefits will also apply.

Toys For Tots…

Do you know about Toys for Tots? It’s a great charity that provides happiness and joy to kids on Christmas morning. They cannot do this without our help.

This year, we have set a school donation goal of 100 toys.

Bring a new, unwrapped toy to school between November 27 – December 14.  Toys for Tots will distribute these toys to kids in need throughout our community.

PLEASE SUPPORT THE KIDS IN OUR COMMUNITY THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!

Music News…

The Holiday Program is next week!! The kids are excited and have been practicing very  hard!! The hall from the music room is sounding great!

The program is at Fair Haven Church: 2900 Baldwin St. in Hudsonville. Just down the road from school!

Kindergarten through 2nd grade begin at 6:30, students report to their assigned room at 6:15

3rd through 5th grade begin at 7:45, students report to their assigned room at 7:30

What time do students need to be at the church?
Students need to report to their assigned classroom 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE PROGRAM.

It is very important not to be late so teachers have enough time to line students up in their riser orders, pass out props and make sure everyone who has a special part is accounted for. Please do not send your child to the classroom unsupervised or prior to their scheduled time.

Where does my child need to go when they get to the church?
There will be signs at the church directing you to your child’s classroom.
Below are the room assignments by grade:

K – Family Life Center
1st – 100 Wing
2nd – 400 Middle
3rd – 100 Wing
4th – 400 Middle
5th – Family Life Center

****If you would like to order a DVD of the program, please fill out this paper HolidayDVDForm-1oe9scd and return it with your payment to the office no later than Monday, Dec. 18. Checks can be made payable to WCET TV. The cost is $15.****
