January 21: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Martin Luther King, Jr.

We remember many historical events throughout the year with national holidays.  The third Monday in January honors Martin Luther King, Jr.

It is the day that we remember him for his civil rights leadership and a time to learn about the important traits of equality, compassion and understanding.  I have many historical figures who I have tremendous admiration for in terms of their courage, bravery and drive to make the world a better place.   Martin Luther King, Jr. is at the top of my list

Kaboose, an online Disney website, provides family friendly ways to talk about and discuss MLK’s work.
