We have just four days remaining until our Spring Break. We will be busy with consistent routines because we know vacation excitement can translate into more impulsive behaviors in the classroom — but in particular in the hallway, classroom, playground and lunchroom.
This is a great opportunity for me to provide a SHOUT OUT to our support staff (lunch team, recess team and classroom para pro team) who provide the necessary structure for the routines in our unstructured areas. These individuals are highly organized, always ready to listen and respond to student needs and consistent about the expectations about how to act responsibly in these areas. They are an ESSENTIAL part of our Georgetown family.
I want to wish all of you a wonderful first week of April — no matter where you are during the spring vacation!
