Week 9: October 21-25, 2019

What a beautiful fall weekend!  I hope you were able to get outside and enjoy some of the sunshine and perfect fall temperatures.

This week’s weather looks it will be in the 50º ‘s which means our LOST and FOUND will continue to grow!  If your child can’t find his/her fleece jacket, HUDSONVILLE EAGLE’s sweatshirt, etc., s/he needs to head down to check out our school collection.  If you’re a parent volunteer, check it out –it’s located between the library and the rotunda.

BIG BIG THANKS to our POPCORN POPPERS.  A crew of parent volunteers descend on our building the morning of EarlyRelease Fridays.  They pop 600+ bags of popcorn and deliver these to classrooms — along with a bag for each staff member.  It’s a highlight of each month and an event that is possible because of parent volunteers and donations.

The beautiful photo above is a collection of all our kindergarteners ….and their teachers.  Each of these photos is on our COUNT ON YOUR board by the library.  Joining the kindergarteners this week, 5th graders!  They’ll be able to find their bus buddy…which is always fun to watch!

A reminder to everyone to save TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5 to vote for our SCHOOL BOND PROPOSAL.  If approved by voters, NO TAX RATE INCREASE is expected for Hudsonville Public Schools property owners. The bond proposal would provide district-wide improvements and focuses on GROWING, INVESTING, and CONNECTING Hudsonville Public Schools.  If you are unable to vote due to your schedule, consider filing an ABSENTEE BALLOT.

Here’s to a great week!  REMEMBER to check your child’s blog…and if you have not visited specialists blogs, make a visit!  Links are on the right.
