Week 14…A Very Brief Week!

This is our shortest week of the entire school year…and it is well timed!   Teachers have just completed a grueling week of teaching all day and two late nights of conferences, viruses for staff and students are on the rise and the busy holiday season is upon us.

As we head into this week of Thanksgiving, I would like to thank Mrs. Fredricks, Mrs. Becker, and Mrs. Smith for organizing the teacher dinner for conferences — and all of you who donated food.  The teachers grazed on your donations all week long and the goodies helped sustain them through a busy week.  Tremendous gratitude to Audrey Straub and all the BOOK FAIR volunteers.  It is one of the most anticipated events for teachers and students because it involves BOOKS!

Finally, thank you to you…the parents…for the support you provide your children by volunteering at school, attending PTC events, participating in parent/teacher conferences and staying on top of school communications.   We, the staff of Georgetown, want you to know that we feel fortunate to work with such a caring and committed parent population.

The three weeks following Thanksgiving Break is filled with learning activities as well as rehearsals for our all school Holiday Program on December 12 –an incredible showcase of our students vocal talents!

As we head into this week, I wish for all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Mrs. Reagan
