The Hudsonville Education Foundation is pleased to announce the first recipient of the Innovation in Education Award. The new award was made possible through a generous donation in honor of teachers who are exceptionally innovative in their efforts to support all learners.
The first award recipient is Mrs. Diana Bast, Georgetown’s outstanding reading teacher. She was presented with a beautiful award and a check for $500. Some of the innovations Mrs. Bast has brought to Georgetown are teacher book clubs, her school blog for teacher/parent interaction and our summer open library.
Congratulations Mrs. Bast! We are so lucky to have you at Georgetown!
Richard Kornoelje, a former administrator with Hudsonville Public Schools, submitted a letter to the Advance Newspaper sharing the pride he feels for our district.
