Help Us Schedule November Conferences

On November 5, 7 and 8 we will hold parent/teacher conferences at Georgetown.  Please help us schedule a time for you to learn about your child’s progress at school by completing thisParent/Teacher Conference Survey.

Once information is collected for all students, we will create a schedule and notify you of your schedule time on or before November 1.

Thank you for your help with this task.

Parent Teacher Conferences in Four Weeks

With Parent/Teacher Conferences just four weeks away, we need to find out what days work best for you to attend these important meetings.

Please help us out by completing this survey form:  Georgetown Parent Teacher Conference Survey

Each family need only to complete one form.  We will make every attempt to schedule conferences for siblings close together on the same evening.

Week 23 of School: Feb 22-25, 2011

I hope that your winter break has gone well!  We have a four day week ahead AND it is a busy one, too.

If you have conferences with Mrs. Bohl on Tuesday, these will be held in the her classroom during your before or after school scheduled time.

The fourth and fifth graders will begin their day on Tuesday with a guest speaker who will talk about cyber-bullying.  This will take place at 9 am in the MPR if you are interested in attending.  The speaker is Mike Skupin–he will be traveling to all the schools on Tuesday.

I included the events for next week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  We will be holding Parent/Teacher Conferences in the late afternoon evenings on those dates.

REMEMBER:  Get your classroom basket donations in by February 23.  The tickets for the baskets ($1.00) each will be sold next week (Feb 28, March 1 and March 2) at lunchtime and during Parent Teacher Conferences.   Many thanks to Chloe Patrick who reminded me to get this in the blog update!

Here’s to a great week ahead!

It’s time to schedule Parent/Teacher Conferences!

During the week of November 1,  we will be holding parent/teacher conferences district wide for elementary parents.  We reserve a 15 minute slot to meet with parents of each child.   To help us with the scheduling of nearly 600 conference time periods, we would like to ask that you let us know your day preference for these meetings.

Some helpful tips:

1.  If you have more than one child at Georgetown, we will schedule all your conferences on one date.  Therefore, you only need to complete this form ONCE.  We will meet as a team to set up the conference and all teachers will have access to the list of preferred days for each family.

2.  If you have a pre-kindergarten or kindergarten child, please note that the PK and K teachers have a slightly different schedule.

3.  Once we have all information back, we will post the conference schedule on our blogs and alert you via email for your time period.

Please complete this conference form by October 15.

Thank you for you help in this very important task.  We value our time with you during conference week.

The Week Ahead: March 1-3, 2010

This is a very short week of school for students and a very busy week for staff.  Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on Monday, March 1 (5-8); Tuesday, March 2 (4-6) and Wednesday, March 3 (4-6).  On March 4th, teachers are in scheduled staff development–and there is no school for students.  And, of course, winter break is on March 5th!

We are looking forward to seeing you this week and sharing all that your child has learned so far this year.  I will serve as the stop watch for the 15 minute conference periods, offering a friendly reminder that the conference time is ended.  This is done to politely keep teachers and parents on schedule.

Enjoy your weekend…and here’s to the first week of March!
