Morning Surprise!

Milo’s pillow with the tooth underneath.

On Tuesday, Milo lost a tooth.  I put it under his pillow to see if he would get something in return from the ‘dog fairy.’

Many of you placed a guess as to what would be left behind in a survey posted on the blog.  Here are the results of the survey:

Bacon Treats were the leading vote getter.

And here is a photo of our happy Milo with the treat he found under his pillow in the morning!

Milo is HAPPY! He loves Beggin’ Bacon Strips!

The respondents to the survey shared the following:

Some of the other destinations include:  Wisconsin Dells, Detroit area, Saginaw, Mississippi, Minnesota, Chicago, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Arizona and the Eastern Caribbean.

And for those of us staying home, our biggest hope for plans include hanging out with friends and playing outside.

No matter where you are for spring break, I wish you the best of times!

A very short week ahead…Nov 22 & 23

glass globe with pilgim at thanksgiving harvest animated gifWe will be in school for just two days this coming week due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.    I had hoped to have a scavenger hunt before the holiday, but this one snuck up on me!

Some of the fun links I had plan to share when I kicked off the scavenger hunt are still worthy of posting for your reading (and voting) pleasure.

If you are interested in finding out more about Thanksgiving, the History Channel website is full of resources.   Of course, there is the History of Thanksgiving but also check out the Mayflower Reconstructed.

Visit the  TURKEY FACTS site to brush up on your turkey knowledge.  My favorite fact:  Wild turkey’s sleep in trees at night.

And, speaking of turkeys, take the poll below to let us know if you eat turkey for Thanksgiving dinner or not.    I know one family that eats a traditional dinner of roasted duck and another of homemade pasta and sauce.  This poll doesn’t permit everyone to tell what they eat..but gives us an idea of who eats turkey ….or something else!

Have a wonderful holiday with family and friends…be well!

I have added a NEW FAMILY survey to our FAMILY BLOG site.  Once the results are completed, these will be shared to help us get to know one another (Georgetown Families and Raey Guang Families).

If you are interested in being a “family penpal blogger” complete the survey form below. So far, we have 10 families, and we are in need of 40.
