Just Write was JUST PERFECT!

DSC02431Our week long celebration of writing was our BEST EVER.  Thank you to everyone who came to read our stories and tour our beautiful building. We were honored by the number of parents, grandparents, board members, city office representatives and former teachers who read the many stories that lined our hallways and lockers and doors.

I collected some of my favorite photos into a slide show to highlight some of the special events from the week.  There are some very special smiles that were captured!

Finally, we ended our week long celebration of writing with an all school assembly to celebrate the incredible work we have done together as writers.

During this assembly, a writer from each grade was honored with a staff performance of their story.  These writers composed stories worthy of a performance….and the Georgetown staff did exactly that.

Malachi Hollis and Clayton Richter, my first grade video team, filmed each performance and these can be viewed below.

When you select each story, you will be taken to a separate blog post which highlights the story with a link to the video.

And…remember…if you have something to say, pick up a pencil…or a pen…or grab a keyboard and JUST WRITE!
