What Does Labor Day Mean?

Labor Day is traditionally the first Monday in September.   This holiday has been celebrated since 1894 and is credited to Peter McGuire, considered to be the father of Labor Day.

This holiday is a time for all of us to remember all of the workers who have made our country strong and great.  If you would like to learn more, visit this kid friendly version, TIME FOR KIDS.  One of my favorite online sites, history.com, has videos and interactive links worth exploring.

Whether you are spending time at home or with family and friends, I hope you have a wonderful COOL and BRISK Labor Day!
