Blog Bits 12/14/2014        Merry Christmas!!!!!

News from the Office….

Wow!!! This is the last blog bits post in the year 2014!!  Where did time go??  This week was a fun week for the kids with their parties! Again, thank you to all the parents that put time into this to make such great memories for the kids!! We are looking forward to our break with family and friends and we hope you are too!! Enjoy and we will see you in 2015!! : )

A BIG THANK YOU to all of the kids and parents who brought in gifts to us in the office!!! We appreciate it so much and feel very blessed to work with such wonderful families!!

We still have 1 DVD in the office from the Christmas program. If you forgot to order one and would like it, stop by the office after break. The charge is $15 and if you write a check, make it out to Georgetown elementary. It will be a first come, first serve basis.


News from the PTC….

The week we get back from break, there are a few things going on!!

  • Jet’s Pizza Nights January 6 and 7
  • Thursday, January 8 at 6:30 in the library there will be a PTC meeting. Please come and show your support for the school and see what exciting things are coming up that you may be able to help with!! 

  • It will also be popcorn Friday on January 9.

Early Childhood Information and Registration Night….

HPS Early Childhood Programs-Parent information/Registration Night for the 2014/2015 school year and 2015 Summer Program.

Information/Registration Night:

Tuesday, January 20, 2015 @ Early Childhood Center from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Early childhood Center is located at: 5535 School Ave. (entrance off Madison Ave.)

Programs include: 3 and 4 year old Preschool, Young fives, Before/After School Care, Summer Care

** This is a change to gather information about the programs, meet staff, and visit the preschool classrooms. There is no formal presentation; feel free to come anytime between 6:00-8:00 p.m. children are welcome and activities will be provided.

  • Enjoy Christmas break by going ice skating!  Georgetown Ice Center in Hudsonville is having a WINTER BREAK SKATE SPECIAL from December 19-January 4.  $5 per person includes ice skatesskating and skate rental.  Public skating times are Monday-Friday 12-2pm, Fridays 7-9pm, Saturdays and Sundays 2-4pm.  Please note the rink is closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day.
