March has arrived. We are one more step closer to spring! Next weekend, we turn the clocks forward one hour. To celebrate the Spring Forward into daylight savings time, we will hold an ALL SCHOOL PJ Day on Friday, March 6. Remember: We do not have school on Monday, March 9.
Parent/Teacher conferences are March 9, 10, 11. If you do not recall your conference time, please contact your child’s teacher.
Our Parent Club will be holding a SPRING BOOK FAIR March 10-13. Jody Hunt, the Book Fair Chair, is searching for volunteers. Please consider volunteering a couple hours of your time for this fun event! Use the link below to sign up on Volunteerspot.org.
Health Alert: A 36-48 hour stomach virus is spreading through the school. The children who have come down with this at school complain of stomach cramps. Some have a headache, others a low grade fever. There is little warning before they get sick. We are doing our best to wipe down surfaces. If your child becomes sick, do not send him/her back they are 24 hours free from getting sick (vomit, diarrhea, fever).
Before I wrap up, I have to thank Linda Fuzi and Rachelle Klein for the FANTASTIC Father/Daughter last Saturday. It was well organized, well attended and GREAT FUN! The Georgetown PTC has a strong focus of offering events for families — and this is an example of their commitment! The Mother/Son Basketball Game is March 20.
