Week 8: October 15-19, 2018

It’s feeling like fall!  One way we can tell is where the kids stand on the playground before school begins each day.  On cooler mornings, there is a huddle of semi-awake kids huddled by the school doors waiting for them to open at any second.  There is another group huddled around the recess supervisors asking “When is the bell going to ring?”   The crowd grows bigger when it’s snowing and blowing outside!  Remind your kids of this when they tell you they don’t need a warmer jacket, mittens, gloves, hats, etc.

The snapshot of our week is below.  Second grade will be taking a field trip to Blanford Nature Center —and this is possible due to your WALKATHON donations.  Parent donations fund the class field trips — one per grade.  Throughout the year, I will continue to highlight how far we stretch your dollars to improve learning and provide opportunities families and students at Georgetown.

Have a wonderful week!
