The Georgetown 2011 Talent Show is rapidly approaching! This event is open to students in grades 3-5. The date of the talent show is March 31—with two shows, 9:15 am and 1:15 pm.

If your child is in grades 3-5, they will need to sign up for a rehearsal time. The sign up can be found on Mrs. Bretz’s door.

As this event draws closer, we will post the acts and show time so that parents and family can attend. I will also video tape each act and post these on the blog.

Holiday Program Details: December 9

GEORGETOWN ELEMENTARY

HOLIDAY PROGRAM

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2010  at 7:00 p.m.

.

It’s time to get your finest wear ready for our annual Holiday Music Program on December 9. This event is organized and arranged by Mrs. Bretz and Mrs. Whitenight, our music teachers.   They have been working with our students since early October to learn music pieces for this holiday celebration.

We  rent Resurrection Life Church for this event. This church is located in Grandville (52nd Ave and Ivanrest). Please enter off from 52nd Ave. After turning in the driveway, turn right at the first fork and follow the signs down to the Worship Center and enter through Door K, which has a large canopy over it.

You may arrive between 6:30 and 6:45 p.m.   The lobby area of  The Worship Center (DOOR K LOCATION) will have signage that identifies the room location for each grade group.  DO NOT drop your child off before 6:30 pm.  This is for safety and security reasons, as there will be no supervision for children before this time.

Students should be in their “meeting room” no later than 6:45 p.m. Once you enter through Door K there will be signs directing you to the drop off rooms as follows:

  • Grades PK, k, 1 and 2 please meet in the CHOIR ROOM
  • Grades 3, 4 and 5 please meet in the CHAPEL ROOM

Parents and students are asked to stay for the entire program.  After each performance, the children will be re-seated to watch the program with their class/teacher.  At the conclusion of the program, Mrs. Reagan will provide directions for child pick up.

Please note that based on rental guidelines with Resurrection Life Church, we must follow these procedures:

  • *The church will be locked during the day of the performance. Doors will be open at 6:30 p.m.
  • * NO FOOD OR DRINK is allowed in the church.
  • *NO ONE IS ALLOWED ON STAGE. The stage is only for staff and students.

The program will be video taped for anyone who is interested in purchasing a DVD of the program. The fee for this DVD will be $15.00 and checks can be made payable to WCET TV. The order form is attached to this newsletter and MUST be turned into the office at Georgetown NO LATER than Monday, December 13.

Please look at the following links and attachments as they are maps to the church, map of the church, and a order form for the Holiday DVD.
