Week 18: Jan. 18-22, 2016

winter24We begin our 18th week with another COLD BLAST of winter!   If the wind chill falls below zero degrees, we will keep the children inside for recess.   Warm winter clothing (snow pants, gloves, hats, scarves, jackets) are essential for each day so that if the temps rise, we can go outside for essential play and movement.   Our students (all grades ) are working hard all day long and these movement breaks are essential and important.

mapI have been fielding emails from parents about the new district attendance area adjustments.  If your child is at Georgetown through an in-district transfer application  or schools of choice transfer, you will need to re-apply between before February 29, 2016.  If your family lives in the Hidden Meadows neighborhood and you would like to continue at Georgetown next year, please complete an i in-district transfer application and have this turned in by February 29, 2016.  We are very hopeful and optimistic that we can honor the transfer requests for all students who currently attend Georgetown and our goal is to notify you of you continued enrollment shortly after March 16.  Finally, if you have any interest in having your child attend Before and After Care for the 2016-17 school year, complete the application for this as soon as possible.  These spots fill months before school begins.

Stay warm…drive safely and here’s to a great week!
