Week 10: Parent Teacher Conferences

daylight-savings-time-explainer-natgeo_72857_990x742November has arrived and along with it, the end of Day Light Savings time.

We have Parent Teacher Conferences this week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings).  I will serve as the human alarm clock, calling time at the end of each 15 minute conference period.  Please do your best to help the teachers (and all conferences in the building) stay on time.

The Parent Club will be holding our Fall Book Fair  in the library.    Students book fair queen (1)will shop during the day and parents can shop on select nights and times during conferences:  Monday (4-7); Tuesday (4-7) and Wednesday (4-5).  THANK you to Jody Hunt Many thanks to Jody Hunt (aka QUEEN of the BOOK FAIR) for taking this event on with such passion and thank you to all the volunteers for making this book fair possible!

While visiting the building, please take some time to notice the student art work hanging above the lockers and on the display boards.  Many thanks to our  art teacher, Mrs. Brouwer, for her work in honoring our students creative minds and hands.

We also have a special board outside the Library called, JOYFUL LEARNERS:  A collection of black & white photos of our students and staff — all photos taken during the school day.  By the end of the year,  everyone will be on the board.  Please check out our beautiful collection of Georgetown faces!

FINALLY…please check the LOST and FOUND while you are in the building.  This is down the hall from the library…near the rotunda.  It is filled with may boy sweatshirts and jackets … and a few items belonging to girls.

Here’s to a great week!
