Week 32: April 23-27, 2018

Ahhhhh…..SPRING!  It feels like it has finally arrived.  We will take advantage

of this welcome reprieve from winter by taking movement breaks outside in the warm fresh air.

Last week, our 5th graders completed their M-STEP testing. They did an amazing job on all four tests. We’re very proud of them.

This week, our 3rd graders will take the M-STEP (English Language Arts and Math).  We will provide as much time as they need to complete the test and be sure to give them fresh air movement breaks!  They are well prepared to do well on this test.

The highlights of our week are below.  Tuesday is a big night — ART SHOW and CULVER’S NIGHT.   Wednesday is Secretary’s Day…and I believe that Georgetown has the two best secretaries in the world.   On a daily basis, they juggle ringing phones, visitor sign in/out, sick or injured kids, requests from teachers, copy machine problem solving and MORE…all with a smile — and tremendous calm, professionalism demeanors.  Our welcoming building climate is in large part due to Mrs. Ripley and Mrs. Hoekstra.

Enjoy the weather this weekend…and the sunshine during our week ahead!
