Week 9: October 22-26, 2018

The photo above was taken on by Mrs. Emmert, our lunch supervisor and special education parapro, as she drove to school on Wednesday of last week.  It was a frosty morning — and as she entered, the skies opened to reveal just enough sunshine for a rainbow to appear above our school!

This week, we’ll be watching for the Hunter’s Full Moon — and if we’re lucky, Mrs. Emmert will be driving in just as it rests above our school.

The focus of this week is BE NICE, BE SAFE, BE AN UPSTANDER.  Each teacher in every classroom will be talking about what it looks like to be safe and be nice — as well as ways to stand up for others who are making poor choices.  The BE NICE BE SAFE BE AN UPSTANDER talking points can be found under the calendar below.

A snapshot of our week is below.  In addition to the Full Moon we have Turkey Trot on Tuesday and Popcorn on Friday.  We will also be announcing the WALKATHON winners on Friday, October 26!
