It’s the final week of February…and the sunshine this weekend gives me hope that While walking my dogs today, I counted the song birds (once a nerd, always a nerd). The Eastern Wood Pewee is one of my favorite song birds…and easily recognizable. It sings PE -WEE over and over and over.
Throughout the building, teachers are very busy assessing student learning to determine next steps for units of student and in particular focus lessons. In addition, the assessment results are recorded on student report cards which are shared at the March Parent/Teacher Conferences. These are held the evenings of March 9 and 11.
Another big event coming up is our SPRING BOOK FAIR. This is also the week of March 9. This is the same week our 5th graders visit Baldwin Middle School in preparation for their transition into sixth grade. And MANY MANY events follow this which all add up to a busy spring. I want to encourage you to visit the class blogs for specific curriculum updates.
