Our word of the week: SUGGEST.
This is a word many of us use regularly. Do you really know the meaning? The common meaning we will teach all of our children this week is as follows: To put forth an idea; to say/mention something
We all know that it can take a great deal of confidence to put forth an idea or to say something or mention something. At Georgetown we work to make it a safe place for our children to ask questions, make suggestions during learning and sharing by teaching our students to LISTEN with their eyes and heard — this means free of interruption and judgement during and after the suggestion.
Some synonyms for suggest: convey, express, communicate, impart, imply, intimate, evoke and evince.
