Mrs. Greenlund’s 2nd grade class used their amazing writing skills to let Santa knew just how good they have been this year! Mrs. Austin, an Advance Newspaper reporter (and parent of Taylor) visited during a recent writer’s workshop and featured these one of kind writers and their extra special letters. Enjoy the article!
Mrs. Stutz (one of our intrepid classroom parapros) has worked with Mrs. Greenlund’s class to start up plastic recycling at Georgetown. This week, they collected 3 large trash bags of plastic from classrooms throughout the school.
The plastic will be collected each week and taken to a recycling station. Mrs. Stutz is searching for a company that will place a dumpster on our lot (next to the PAPERGATOR) for school and community use.
Kudos to these students and Mrs. Stutz for taking on this important environmental project!
