Last Week of February

The week ahead looks calm—and a perfect way to close out this month.   I love that the days are getting longer and we are creeping ever so slowly toward spring.

Remember that Parent/Teacher Conferences are next week, March 1-3.  Also, we will not have school on March 4 and 5 due to a combination of professional development for teachers and winter break.

Here’s to a great week ahead!

Remember our holiday program at Resurrection Life Church on December 17?  If you attended and have since been looking for your camera bag (4×6 Case Logic) along with two 16M Simm cards, we have them!  I have attached two photos that were on the memory cards to help find the correct owner.  If these items belong to you, simply call the school office.  (797-9797 x22401)

Poets in our Midst

I had the distinct honor of being invited to the writing celebration in Mrs. Jurewicz’s 4th grade classroom.  While sipping on a delicious cup of hot chocolate,  I listened to each fourth grader read a selected poem from their poetry anthologies.  I would like to encourage you to visit their classroom blog to read poetry that creates vivid images and feelings with meaningful word choice and creative phrasing.

Keep writing fourth graders…and thank you inviting me to your celebration!

Snow Day Fun

What did you do on your snow day?  Did you make a snowman?  A snow angel?  Go sledding?   I shoveled a dog run path in the backyard for Cooper — who stands 12 inches tall.  Without a path, he will disappear ten inches of snow.

I received two fun snow day photos from Leah (Mrs. Quigley’s Class) and Lucas (Mrs. Bohl’s Class) …and you can see what they did on their snow day!  This was perfect snow for play.

If you have a photo of your snow day play, send it to me and I will share it on the blog!
