Snow Sleeper

If you were driving around today and saw a first grade boy sleeping in the snow, it was probably Lorenzo!  He worked up such a sweat playing and building with his brother and friends,  he simply had to take a nap.

Lorenzo

Hope your second snow day has gone well!  Mr. Rob has been very, very, VERY busy plowing the parking lot, playgrounds and the walkways.  When he was done at Georgetown, he had to take his plow to the other schools to help them get the snow moved.

Get a good nights rest…and remember to wear your PJ’s to school tomorrow!

Georgetown is Snowbound!

Due to the massive dumping of snow in our area, the road crews are having a tough time getting the roads cleared for busses.

As a result, school will be closed again tomorrow–Thursday, Feb 3.

Eagle’s Nest Day Care will be OPEN.

Happy Snow Day # 2~

Amanda Troyer took a trip up to school to get a photo of our beautiful school buried in snow.

Mr. Rob, the custodial staff and our local plow services will be very busy all day tomorrow to so that we can be at school on Friday.  Remember, Friday is popcorn and PJ day!

The beautiful blue sky behind our building is stunning!  Great photography work, Mrs. Troyer.

Charlie’s Dump Was Hoppin’

When school is closed due to a snow day, the next best place to be is CHARLIE’S DUMP!

Some of our 4th graders spent the day sledding and snowboarding down the hill.  As you can see in the photos below, they had a blast.   Shown below are:  Brenden Tockstein, Grant Sitzema, Mason Slattery, and Austin Brandt.

And…I can’t be the only non-Hudsonville person who repeatedly asks the question, “What is the story behind this place being called Charlie’s Dump?”  Anyone want to write a story of the history of Charlie’s Dump so I can post it on the blog?

Where are the Vreux’s?

Look closely at these photos and see if you can find Antonio and Isabella playing in the snow!  Be sure to scroll to earlier posts to view fun times that have been shared.

I love having a window into your world of snow day fun.   As many of you know, my own children are in high school so my days of tunnels, forts and snow angels has matured into movies, tea with my daughter while my son is snowboarding off a homemade jump at the neighbors.  FYI…it is not cool to have your mom take photos of a 15 year old hangin’ with his friends!
