The Troyer’s Tunnel into the Snow!

Check out Max, Emily, Simon and Toby playing in the snow.   It looks like all of our pets are benefiting from the snow day with some extra fun playtime outside.  I love the snow day photos you are sending for blog posts.  Keep them coming!

Earlier I posted photos of the Norder’s and the Reifschneider’s.  Send your photos to my school email address and I will post them for you.

How Much Snow Do You Have?

When I got up this morning, I opened my slider door to let my dog Cooper outside and we were both greeted by huge drifts of snow!   I reached for my camera and Cooper, desperate to get outside, took a step and disappeared into a snow pile.  He popped back up and stared at me with a bewildered look on his face.

Here is a photo showing the amount of snow in my yard since last night.  Send me your photo and I will post it on the blog.  Use my school email address:  treagan + hpseagles.net

Have a fun day and stay warm!

Georgetown is Snowbound!

Due to the massive dumping of snow in our area, the road crews are having a tough time getting the roads cleared for busses.

As a result, school will be closed again tomorrow–Thursday, Feb 3.

Eagle’s Nest Day Care will be OPEN.

Happy Snow Day # 2~

Amanda Troyer took a trip up to school to get a photo of our beautiful school buried in snow.

Mr. Rob, the custodial staff and our local plow services will be very busy in the next few hours getting our parking lots and streets ready all the vehicles that transport children and teachers to school!

The beautiful blue sky behind our building is stunning!  Great photography work, Mrs. Troyer.

Snow Day = No School!

snow dayAs I walked around the lunchroom, hallways and classrooms today, I was told to do the following as soon as I got home:

  1. Turn my PJ’s inside out and wear them backwards.
  2. Put a spoon under my pillow.
  3. Flush ice cubes down the toilet–at least 6.
  4. Run around the table screaming the snow day chant, “SNOW DAY, SNOW DAY, SNOW DAY!”

I must have some amazing pull with Mother Nature because before I had gotten to number 4, school was cancelled!

Due to the Blizzard Like Hazardous Conditions, there will be

NO SCHOOL on FEBRUARY 2, 2011.

EAGLE’s NEST DAY CARE is also CANCELLED.

Be safe and stay warm tomorrow!

Snow Day Fun

What did you do on your snow day?  Did you make a snowman?  A snow angel?  Go sledding?   I shoveled a dog run path in the backyard for Cooper — who stands 12 inches tall.  Without a path, he will disappear ten inches of snow.

I received two fun snow day photos from Leah (Mrs. Quigley’s Class) and Lucas (Mrs. Bohl’s Class) …and you can see what they did on their snow day!  This was perfect snow for play.

If you have a photo of your snow day play, send it to me and I will share it on the blog!

Snow Day = No School Day

As I made my way through classrooms, the hallways and the lunchroom today, I was told to do the following when I got home:

  1. Flush ice cubes down the toilet.snow day
  2. Wear my PJ’s inside out and backwards.
  3. Put spoons under my pillow.
  4. Say the snow chant repeatedly and loudly, “SNOW DAY!  SNOW DAY!”
  5. Run around the room five times.

And….I have some serious pull with Mother Nature because it worked…and I haven’t even run around the room yet!

Today is our first official snow day of the 2010-11 school year.

SCHOOL IS CLOSED TOMORROW, FEBRUARY 2, 2011 DUE TO THE BLIZZARD CONDITIONS.

EAGLE’S NEST DAY CARE IS ALSO CLOSED.

Stay warm…and be careful!
